          ANNETTE CANNON

Annette Cannon has dedicated most of her career to work as a pioneer in the field of Alternative Dispute Resolution. After graduating from The University of Florida College of Law in 1990, Annette gained experience litigating primarily Worker’s Compensation, Labor and Employment law cases while representing a wide variety of insurance carriers and employers. In 1998 Annette was certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Circuit Court Civil Mediator, and began mediating with the Center For Conflict Resolution, where she would continue for over 18 years. In 2010 Ms. Cannon earned her certification as a Family Mediator and has been named to the panel of Registered Mediators for mortgage modification mediations for the United States Bankruptcy Court, Southern and Middle Districts. She also serves as a Special Master for the City of Miami Beach, adjudicating building code and zoning violations. Ms. Cannon has earned a reputation as a thought provoking, fair minded and assertive discussion leader. She has successfully conducted thousands of mediations and is well respected by both claimant/plaintiff attorneys and defense attorneys. As a first generation Cuban American from a Jewish family Annette also has a unique ability to provide relatable perspective to litigants and her fluency in Spanish ensures that nothing is lost in translation. Shalom! I’m Jonathan Kurry, member of Temple Beth Sholom since 2003, soon after I moved to Miami Beach.

I have nearly three decades of experience assisting clients in the development, financing, leasing, operation and sale of real estate, most notably in the retail and hospitality industries. I handle a wide range of real estate projects, including structuring complex joint ventures, public-private partnerships and community development districts. My clients include local and national developers, real estate investment trusts, institutional investors, such as pension fund advisors, as well as banks and other lenders. I partner with clients on projects across the United States, Caribbean and South America.

I also provide family offices and high net-worth clients with “outside general counsel” services. These may include business, corporate, employment and human resources issues, noncompetition and confidentiality issues regarding current and former employees, contract, document and diligence review and advice, problem solving, litigation prevention and negotiation, and the like.

Please don’t hesitate to let me know if I can be of help. 305-788-4507. http://www.hunton.com
